I am SHAN.MURE, a Malaysian artist born and raised in Malaysia.

Painting is a long and gentle journey. From black-and-white line drawings to oil pastel works, I continue to explore different forms of creation, searching for new possibilities of expression.

The self that longs for freedom, the self that seeks peace, and the self searching for the future — every figure hidden deep within becomes the foundation of my work. The quiet and often overlooked moments of everyday life — a beam of light, a brief pause, an indescribable feeling — these real and silent fragments slowly gather into the soul of each painting.

Every act of creation is a deep conversation with my inner self; and every artwork not only captures a moment of emotional movement, but also carries a unique and honest fragment of life.

I hope that one of the paintings here may allow you to pause for a moment and reconnect with yourself — with life, with relationships, or simply with the present moment.

As we grow, we gradually forget the “superpower” that once belonged to us — the voice within. Perhaps life does not always need immediate answers. Sometimes, it is enough to stop for a while, listen carefully, and embrace the self that has been left behind for far too long.
